I have some outside my house right now- its cold and white- its pretty when it first falls and everything is covered evenly, but once the snow plows come in, the snow gets mixed with dirt and then becomes dirty, grey and its tough to drive in and it causes a lot of car accidents and people slip and fall- and its a pain to shovel because there are different types of snow- the light fluffy kind and the heavy wet kind- the heavy kind causes muscle and back aches to shovel because it is HEAVY!! I will say though- its nice to have white Christmas'

Depends on what you mean by snow. The actual snow is very pretty - I can look out off my deck and it is all over the trees and ground. It can be a stark white to a deep sky blue (yes snow can be different colors).

Snow is a wonderful substance when it first falls--white and cold and fragile. If it's cold enough, it accumulates. Then you can do fun things like have snowball fights and make snowmen outside. Inside, you can watch the snow feeling happy that it's snowing and also happy that you are inside where it is warm and you have cable.
.......but then, after a while, the snow melts. During its stages of melting, it also becomes grey from all the dirt trekked through it and the cars whizzing by. It also is destroyed by the footprints of little children.
It was snowy here several weeks ago--but isn't anymore. There's no point to cold, dreary days when you can't go outside and there's no leaves on the trees when it's not snowing....it's disheartening.
