It's not fake. Companies do it because they need market research data - they want to find out what consumers buy, what they like and what they don't before making new products - or to adjust poor selling ones.
The thing is, the internet is full of rumors and scams. There are too many people out there who will claim you'll get rich doing surveys. You won't. I fill out surveys and I make about 2,000$ a YEAR, not a month as some scams will claim.
There's a lot of valuable information on here- http://surveysafari.x10hosting.com/ - I used it to get started and I haven't regretted it since.
Good luck! |

I do sendearnings.com and inboxdollars.com. They pay about 5 cents per email you read, they send you about 4 a day depending on how many you do. You can do these for about six months before you earn enough ($30) to request a check that costs $3 to send and takes two months for you to get. It's not to make a living, it's more of a joke than anything. They also have $1 surveys that you might qualify for, but take upwards of 1/2 hour to do. So far, I have not discovered any legit sites, good luck! |

It's real!! I do my surveys at surveyspot.com. Some of them are lengthy but you usually get paid a good mount for them. ($20-$40). The short ones(10-30 minutes) you get like $2-$15 for them. It is not too bad. |

I just want to throw this in in case it helps. I may not have all the answers, but I think we all agree that paid surveys should do just that - pay! It took me 3 months of Googling to find the best out there - see what you think, it would be good to know if anyone else is doing well with them - http://makemoneysurvey.net - all the best!. |

This is true - I did this years ago when I didn't have a job (about 7-8 years ago), and some surveys paid $5 or so. However, the surveys that I was eligible for were few, and I received TONS of spam. It wasnt worth it to me, so I changed e-mail addresses, and quit. It was hard to even make $30 a month. |

No it's BS I did them for 7 months and never got a dime yet they had all my information and all I got out of it was spam email and junk mail at home....so don't buy into that BS....and never give out your personal information. I just gave name and address and they promised I would receive a check monthly based on the amount of surveys I took....."but" since I just took the surveys and never participated in none of the promotions they offered may be the reason they want you to do them in the 1st place in hopes that you will participate in one. |

The online survey site I'm a part of does not have any fees and registration is free. It in fact does really pay as I and other users have proven so. Payment is a check that comes to you in the mail. My check for last month’s work was over $100. :) Minimum age required to join is 13.
You can check it out at this blog for more information: http://makemoney-tips-athome.blogspot.com If you have any questions or need help, feel free to ask me :) |

I found this site and I think it's alright. It's got a good list of surveys and PTC sites are real (I think). All use Paypal as well as Alertpay.

Yes you probably get paid in spam. Think about it...why would you give away all your personal info to some random online company? |

it's not fake but to get "paid" you really have to answer a lot of them to make like a buck. |

For the most part doing surveys online are pretty much scams. I was there, paid the price and never made any money.
I do believe there are a few sites that are legit and pay but the payout is usually quite high and it takes a long time to ever meet that requirement.
I have to be honest though. Maybe things have changed. Personally I only pay attention to affiliate marketing and thats what I love doing so I avoid everything else |

It's real but usually they only pay you with free services that you would never have used in the first place.
Thanks for the thumbs down... because I actually did this and this is what I got.... |

Yes it is definitely possible to get paid doing online surveys as i have been doing it for 5 years. I will tell you up front though that there is absolutely no chance you will get rich and quit your day job over it. Paid survey taking is fun and if you do enough surveys with the right, legitimate companies you can indeed get a little extra pocket cash here and there along with amazon gift certificates and stuff. i have written several articles on this topic as i consider myself an expert and avid survey taker. You do have to watch out for the scams. The link below i wrote some tips on how to tell the good ones from the bad. good luck. |
