Well MP's wages are about to increase substantially if they get their way. You will just have to eat less and go cold. Oh and walk everywhere! Oh and no holidays or frittering money away on enjoyment. We, the workers suffer from recession and inflation but am afraid the fat controllers don't feel it. |

no, it's not what a recession is, but there is probably one on the way.
Food and energy costs are going up a lot. Soft commodities like wheat, and other agriculture products are shooting up, due to demand factors like Chinas increase in wealth, and wanting to east Western foods. Supply is decreasing, a LOT of good land is being used to produce bio-fuels, even though there is no benefit in using bio fuels, so this means there is less food to eat. Also these are raw materials to animals, so raising pigs and cattle becomes more expensive, so meat is more expensive. Energy prices are soaring. Real inflation is a lot higher than the gov't statistics have us believe
Like most things, a lot of this is Bush's fault, with his reckless ethonol policy in America |

The rise in gasoline prices are starting to effect everything else. Thinks about how those goods get to the stores. Trucks mainly and they use fuel.
A recession is more defined by GDP and unemployment rates.

Yes this is part of it and it is only getting worse.
I work in the food business and prices there are only going to increase. Staple items like Flour have gone up in record rates. The price has increased over 100% since last year.
Things like corn with farmer now giving a certain percentage of corn to ethenal gas the part they give for food use is now in high demand which has also caused the price to increase.
It will get a lot worse before it gets better bear down!! |

Yes... later prices will fall because that's when the demand for goods and services will fall, resulting in a reduction in prices due to lack of demand and the producers will try to attract more customers.
