A gal pal of mine is house bound with MS and does these survey things all the time. she tells me that there about a dozen or so that are very good, pay what they say, and tend to work for well known outfits, Like the JD Powers group and such. Most of them put you into a sweep-stake or drawing for your efforts, and sometimes have paid surveys, she says she has earned about 2K in cash, about 2K in 'gifts' and never won any prize. But she doesn't really care. It gives her something to do. That sums it up for me, not a career move me thinks! :)
edit: she reports this is earned stuff for about three years of doing these things. |

I have been to a couple where they do actually pay out but the surveys where they pay money are few and far between and the payouts aren't that much the most I've gotten is $25 for a tissue survey. Don't use any company where you have to pay to take part. Those are scams. |

I tried them but none of them ever paid me, not even a penny. |

I have. I've been taking surveys with various free sites for several years. I usually qualify for enough surveys to make about $20 a month. (Most surveys pay from $1-10...very rarely will I get any which pay more than that. The highest survey I've ever been offered payed $30 but I didn't qualify for it).
As for which is the best, you're not going to get very much with just one (like I was saying...I only make about $20 a month, and I'm signed up with a lot of them). My favorites have changed over time--I think sites go through seasons where they are offering more surveys. I have reviews of the ones I've been payed through here:

And I have tips on avoiding scams here...

Best, legal and safe way to earn on internet is by joining paid survey sites. Paid survey sites pay you for your opinion on various topics.
Don’t pay for any survey program to join. There are many free to join paid survey like survey savvy they pay more then 5 $ per survey. Always check for on which site you are registering is BBB (Better Business Bureaus) certified.

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.
Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

It's all a lie. Phishing. EIther to get your address to sell as a sucker or eventually to get identity theft info. Millions have done it. Nobody ever gets anything real. |

They are garbage. Don't mess with 'em. They use you just to get all kinds of information off you. Once you put your e-mail address in one of those, your inbox will be full of spam before the day is over. They are just another scam. I think there are 'real' one's out there, but I wouldn't get into it. |

I have made a lot of money with several different sites. It took a ton of researching to find them. If you are interested, please see my profile for more information, including proof that these sites pay.
All of these sites are free to join.
Thanks. |

in my personal opinion they are all a rip-off they include catches like you hve to do them in 3 seconds etc and other clauses so that you don't get your money, the ones where they give you more time they will pay you silly money like 1p/1cents and even then trying to get them to send you the money is a nightmare they make you earn a certain amount in a certain time limit and then sand you a check (do you really want to give your bank details out?) anyway just my opinion but i wouldn't. |
