The happiest time of my life was when I was dirt a$$ poor...I was 18, living in Hawaii, didn't have a car and couldn't afford a BK whopper when they were 0.99$. |

yeah...my kids were 2 & 3, my husband in prison...only had a bag of flour, crisco oil and salt...made crackers. (mixed the flour with water, rolled it out, cut squares and put in the heated oil, salted) |

Once, back in college I was terribly broke. I worked a minimum wage job and had to pay for auto repairs so that I could get back and forth to work. (mass transit and/or walking wasn't an option) I lived on spaghetti that my girlfrend's mom would make on the weekend and gave me all the leftovers. Looking back, it makes me appreciate what I have today all that much more.... It also reminds me to save money... the rainy day alwasy comes around. |
