When I received a failing grade when I was in 8th grade I was devastated. Of course I DID deserve it, but my family had just moved and I was under a severe emotional stress with being the "new kid" in school and was being teased and beaten up.
I buckled down with the help of a tutor provided by the school and worked my tail off. |

Yup, only once though if you consider a D a failing grade. I got it in AP American History my sophomore year, but I really didn't care. I still had a 4.1 and Yea it looks bad on my transcript, but the teacher didn't like me. He hated people who didn't love history like him (no joke). Just study harder and don't make excuses for yourself. You obviously got it for a reason so try to avoid doing what you did to get the grade. |

I remember. I cried in class. My older brother and sister never ever got a failing grade and I was destroyed. |

I haven't been there, but i do imagine that i wouls sulk and then whine, and then tell myself i'm and overiactive person that can't me perfect and should get over myself. And anyways, it's nto important, if it were u would have passed. |

I've never failed a class before; however, if I did I would just suck it up and retake it. Good luck!! Study hard!! |

You know why it's an F? F is not for Failing.
F is for F*** this class and this tight-a** teacher b****!!
It's not a reflection of who you are as a human being. It's a minor academic setback. The fact that it apparently bothers you is promising. Just work harder next time. |

Took it pretty hard.... mostly because I was so prepared and so confident that I was going to ace the test... The next few days to follow ,,,I did what I do best,,, I crawled into my cave and stayed to myself,,,, got back up and got on with life as I knew it..... |

I've never failed a class/grade level, but my first failing grade was in 2nd grade on an in class math assignment. I cried for a while but then I got over it and moved on to college where I am now. |

I ate a lot of chocolate (fixes everything) and studied ALOT harder- have to get into a good college you know. Try asking more questions if you don't get it. That's your teachers job, if your afraid or embarrsed about being teased or we, just get over it nobody cares- really. Don't worry bc you are concerd about your grade is a good sign, don't stress out about it
PEACE! |

Sulked.
Carried on anyway.
Decided to cope with the fact that no human being can be perfect. |

Once when I was in Year 7, nearly the whole grade failed a maths test. I will tell you what the teacher told us then. How important is the test(or any other issue you are worried about)? WILL YOU EVEN REMEMBER YOUR SCORE(or it) IN 5 YEARS TIME? Will it make a difference to you in 5 years time?
If yes, then it is important, and you need to deal properly with it now but if it is something that will be ancient history by then, then learn from it, see wat you need to do to correct the situation-then move on and forget it!!
I call it the 5 year test.
I have passed it on to friends and it puts things in perspective. |

Tried to bribe the professor (did not work). Studied, took the test again and got an A+. |

Try to figure out why I did badly, so I can try and avoid it in the future. After I feel badly about it for a while, that's allowed too. :) |

Be calm. Just find out what you got wrong and try to do better next time. Don't worry. |
