This is going to sound a little primal but here it goes:
He has anger issues and most likely it is an attempt to put you into submission. Did he ever try to play a dominate role with you before?
Either way, you obviously bruised his ego. This is his way to establish a dominate role over you whether he is serious or not. The more you puss out about it, the more he might push it. It's a possibility but I don't know him. The best thing you can do is tell him "f--k you" and tell him if he's going to be an ***, you'd rather not hang out with his punk a$$ anymore. You need to ignore him and stop extending your hand out to him, it makes you look weak to him. |

Depending on the situation and event that took place and setting, I would suggest that he was upset and was not laughing at what you joked about whether it was about him or another friend of yours. Sometimes we joke around with our close friends and often times when we drink or just socialize and become even more relaxed and comfortable with our friends, we tend to go beyond the jokes and negative comments of ones negatice attributes, thus causing a sudden friction between the relationship of that person and causing a domino affect with the dynamics of your groups of friends based on what sort of joke it was. In the future I recommend taking a step back in certain jokes and comments and observe with your friends how far a joke can go, then you can decifer whether your joke can draw a crowd or turn away heads and leave with resentment and anger, such as wanting to kill you whether it was serious or not, you should take seriously with a friend whether they meant it or not. |
