You'll have to increase your monthly payments if you want to get rid of it quicker. If you can't afford to do that, you'll have to get a better paid job.
Debt is horrible and I think everyone wishes there was a quicker solution to it, but unfortunately, you just have to live with it once you've accumalated it.
I know it sounds like a lot, but I know people who have a hell of a lot more than that, so try not to worry. There's just no point panicing and worrying, because you can't do anything immediately. You'll just have to chip away at it slowly. |

don't go out until your overdraft is clear and put any spare cash that results from this towards your overdraft or get a second/different job |

WHAT?! I know people who could manage VERY well on £1000 a month.
Just assume you've only had £900 paid into your account each month, that way you are effectively clearing £100 a month off your overdraft. You'll just have to not spend so much each month,

Become a credit card surfer! If you're careful - you could clear the debt faster with a credit card cheque where they offering 0% for 6 months on new balances. Then for goodness sake make sure you do the same with an alternative offer and move the debt to another card just before the 6 months are up.
In the meantime you need to be making some payments to reduce the debt - but at least it won't be accummulating more interest. Also make sure its not a card where there are large penalty clauses preventing you from leaving after 6 months rtc.
Note the risks - if you forget to move it you will get in a worse mess. And DON'T use the credit card itself!
p.s. The Motley Fool Website often has good ideas / best offers for debt etc. |

You should have thought of that before you took on the overdraft. I've not the slightest sympathy. Remember Mr Micawber's famous adage in future

Try keeping some extra money aside each month and don't touch it. Eventually you'll be able to pay off your loan. |
