Show her that you're mature- They have free cell phones after rebate at Staples, you just need to buy a phone card. Maybe you could pay for the cost of the phone cards? That would show maturity. |

Show her how responsible you are by doing extra chores around the house or by getting goo grades. And, if that doesn't work then well you might need to work for the money. |

Let your mother know other areas in your life that you have been responsible. Also, do a little research to find the best deal for your phone service and phone. If you are wanting your mom to pay for this, there may need to be a trade: extra house work for the cost of the phone. Be sure to keep whatever bargain you make with your mom if she says yes to the phone, and always turn off the phone when you are in class:) Good luck! |

Cellphone? Why...when I was your age we didn't have no new fangled cell phones. We had two cans and a sting, and we'd talk to each other from across the yard by yelling into the cans. AND We liked it! |

(she might think it's a horrible idea) but then you propose that maybe she can buy the prepaid phone for you while it be your reponsibility to recharge it with minutes out of your own pocket. Lastly go with the safety aspect. *** you are asking for a responsibility while thinking about safety and most importantly you asked her for her OPINION (every mothers dream!!!) unless she can't afford it (ask your grandparents) how can she say no? |

Well, first things first, you need to let her know you'll be helping with the bill, lots of prepaid service start really cheap, you cna have a prepaid phone and you can recharge it when you need to, no contracts. My mom got me a tracfone and their promotions are amazing. |
