How can I get a loan if I'm 17 years, and haven't been emancipated?

math_prof
I believe that in some states and emancipated 17 y.o. can sign certain contracts. How ever, I am not sure of the details. A teen who is not emancipated may not sign a contract, period.

lees68tbird
You cann't sign a contract at 17 wait a year. Or get help from your parents.

adphllps
Truthfully, no one will touch you with a ten foot pole until you're 18. Contracts you make aren't legally binding as a minor. Even when you turn 18, you'll need a co-signer due to your lack of credit history.

creskin
You cant. Even if you are emancipated.
Persons under the age of 18 are not adults and therefore do not have rights to negotiate and sign contracts.
If you were emancipated, you would still have to have a gaurdian to sign on your behalf.

Sorry. you cant. you have to be 18. and even then they will want a co-signer.

The most you can do at 18 is get a student credit card that will keep you in debt for the rest of your life.

Your parent or another adult individual would have to co-sign for you.

when I was 16 I was emancipated, pregnant and living with my fiance. I couldn't even open a bank account with out a guardian signature there isn't very much you can do about it. Also years later when my niece moved in with us (obviously she was having problems at home) I tried to enroll her in school and the school said they needed a parent or legal guardian to enroll her we had to have proof of it. Unfortunatley that is just the way things are and you cannot even try to change the laws until you are a legal adult, by then it won't matter. I'm sorry I wasn't more helpful.

People under 17 CAN sign contracts but only for life's necessities. Try checking with the bank first, otherwise your parents need to take the loan out.
