I have no credit card. I can't drive because I'm disabled so I don't have a license. I can't work so I don't have a bank account. I don't travel so I don't have a passport. Short of going personally to the offices of porno companies, how do I prove that I'm older than 21? The only thing I have is a voter's registration, but even that is past due. I have to get a new one for next election. I need to prove my age, especially on the Internet. |

Most states offer an ID card, which you can apply for using a birth certificate. Check with your local DMV -- it's usually acquired at the same place you get your license. You might even be able to get one by mail.
You can also apply to get a passport even if you don't travel. It's not expensive and might prove useful if you ever need to prove your age or identity in other circumstances. |

Make sure you have a social security card, once you have that, get a birth certificate, once you have those, get an identification card. |

Get a state ID card. It's like a driver's license as far as an ID goes, but doesn't give you the "license to drive." |

Some Motor Vehicles will give you a form of ID that is not technically a license. Start with the DMV. With more and more places requiring picture IDs this is becoming a bigger issue (think of older people who no longer drive). |

Any of those ID's, but if none of those are available to you, you can have an X-ray taken of your wrist, and a professional doctor will be able to know your exact age by looking at it and determining the cartilege in your bones. |

Use your birth certificate, you could scan it onto the computer if you need to show someone on the internet. That's the only thing I can think of. |
