Look around your neighborhood. If someone needs their grass cut, yard cleaned or something else, than you can intervene and help them without spending a little more than sweat and 3 dollars in gas. The elderly often have a difficult time taking care of things like this. This is small, but could prove to be a big help to someone who needs it. Another way is to donate clothes and items you are not using to charity. This also helps in a big way. |

Pay in kind. Like if you can't pay the country doctor with cash, pay him with a chicken. You can clean someone's house, or yard. Take them dinner, or out to dinner. Volunteer at various places, etc. Sometimes it's just a smile, or a hug. |

Bring happiness and joy to someone else. Think of others before your self. Do a good turn daily as the Boy Scouts say. |

The premise of the novel Pay It Forward is one that any person can implement in his or her own life, at any time. It begins with doing a favor for another person-- without any expectation of being paid back. Indeed one would request that the recipient of that favor do the same for someone else: ideally for three other people. The unconditional favors can be large or small. As Trevor observes: it doesn't have to be a big thing. It can just seem that way, depending on whom you do it for. |

if your dad beat you, then you can beat your own kids.
(just get a permission slip from the local psychologist, because you know, no one is really responsible for their actions because they were molested/taunted/beat up/tripped/had a bad day/were having their period. there is always some excuse.) |
