babysitting,. paper route, selling things in a yard sale, walking dogs, doing odd jobs for people, etc.
When I was about 14 I put an ad in the paper, Odd jobs - anything you want, $10.00 per hour. I made a few hundred bucks over summer. |

babysitting, yardwork (i know you didn't want me to say it but i didn't say mowing, pull weeds out of the garden for an elderly neighbor), dog-walking, makes an arts and crafts project and sell it at your local market |

Let's see:
Doing household chores for seniors is good - but don't charge them alot.
Walking dogs in the neighborhood
Picking up dog poop (gross but you can charge alot there)
Paper route if your parents allow it (do they still have those for kids?)
I'm sure there are lots more |

Your best bet is to ask your parents if they'll pay you to do things around the house, like cleaning, making dinner, looking after your siblings, cleaning out the garage, etc. You should come up with some creative ideas. You can also try offering to do chores for other neighbors. Other than that, there's not much you can do to make money besides holding a bake sale in your front yard and selling cookies and brownies you've made. You could sell bags of popcorn (cheap to pop) and lemonade, too.
I saw a lot of people have mentioned babysitting, but to be honest I don't think most parents would leave their kids home alone with a 12 year old. 16 maybe, but probably not a 12 year old. Sorry. |

Send flyers out in your neighborhood letting them know you can walk their dog, you can take their trash out, chores around their house....There's really only so much you can do since you are only 12.....
Helping my nephew Mow yards is what I did before I was able to work.....
Good Luck |

OK... i have heard a lot of answer and they are all pretty much the same. But one person said that people would hire a 12 year old to babysit. She is crazy...12 is the perfect age..you are pretty responsible and you have nothing better to do. She said that they might hire a 16 year old. what kind of 16 year old wants to babysit...they all have better things to do.
THINGS TO DO:
babysit
yard-work
chores
in 2 years you can work at the movies |

You could try babysitting but I would suggest taking a class first. Or if your neighbor hood is having a yard sale any time soon you could sell crafts. You could walk peoples dogs or be a pet sitter. Old but you could try a lemonade stand or some other beverage. You could also try a bake sale and then make fliers and post them around your town. Well they're a few ideas to get you going. Hope I helped |

have you checked into any paper routes in your area.. i think it will be work but fun at the same time.. i know some that does this,, also maybe see if some of your neighbors may have something you can do to earn money.. take out trash weekly or walk their dog.. i know a lady that does this too..put up a flier around your neighborhood and see if you can get any response from it.. and put one up in the nearest grocery store that is around you too.. |

When I was 12 I used to make money by picking up apples that had fallen under people's apple trees, cleaning pools and babysitting. |

having them perform chores around the house or for trusted ppl
ex. cleaning the bathroom or other rooms in the house, dishes, washing their own clothes (if u trust them to do that), a paper route, sweeping and moping the floors, vaccumming. things like that for ur household or like I said before for trusted ppl such as close neighbors or family members. |

unfortunately, as your age under the child labor laws, you can't work say at a grocery store and such. as far as mowing lawns, i did it 40 years ago during one summer and made 300.00. talk to your neighbors to see if they need their garage cleaned out and most do. someone may have alot of junk on their yard and needs cleaning up. paper routes, a neighbor may have a project going and you can be the laborer and learn construction skills. pressure wash neighbors driveways, sidewalks or house and let them rent it of course. |

when you are 12 there aren't many job opportunities but mostly there is babysitting. To learn about the job experience for when you get old enough to get a real job you could volunteer. |

Some great answers were already given to your question and you might need the help of an adult to do some of my recommentations and since I am a strong believer in working for myself, setting my own hours, at my own pace and I know that the effort that I put in today will pay off later on. So if you have an extra 1/2 to a hour a day..here are a few of my recommendation to help you make extra money that are free to start up or to be part of..(1) Make your own website or blog, money can be made by sharing your experiences or expertises on various issues, also selling products or information is extremely easy..for more info visit http://webinfo1.shorturl.com
(2) To make extra pocket change daily, visit this website http://winner.2fortune.com this site has tips and tricks to help you make easy extra money at home on the computer
Other suggestions for making money from the Internet:
(3) Sell stuff on Google Base http://base.google.com/
or EBay http://www.ebay.com .You can buy stuff from yards sales, discount bins at your local store and resell them..Also there might be a local auction site that you can use to sell your stuff, less cost for shipping etc....(4)WARNING If you are thinking about "stuffing enevelopes" I highly recommend you read this first http://homebiztools.com/questions/stuffing-envelopes.htm (5) If you do choose any of the first 3 suggestions, just don't expect to be a billionaire overnight, just be consistent and you will make extra money! |

On the internet: http://www.inboxdollars.com/
Register there, click on the emails they send and DON'T WRITE any personal info once you get the web page of the ad up, just EXIT out, even though they say you get an extra $5 DON'T do it. They will charge you or your parents!! If you want to get the money faster, do the surveys everyday. You get like 3 cents per email and $1 per survey completed (only one per day, on those you can lie and say your a girl a man a women, etc, they don't ask your exact address or your name), it might take you a few MONTHS but at the end you can get $30 mailed to you by check to your name. But if you have free time and have another job, its extra money for clicking on emails everyday (they pay like 3-10 cents for every email that you "read" click.
Good Luck and you get $5 when you refer a friend and they sign up too but don't use two addresses from the same computer and the same info because they will delete the account with the most money. |
