My 11 year old averages about $9 a car washing cars. He can also mow lawns. If your neighborhood has leaves, raking is good money too. Don't set your price too low, your folks should be able to help you figure out how much to charge. Most people are suckers for kids who want to earn money so they will like to hire you. If you do good work, you might get a regular gig.
Other ideas, though not as lucrative, dog washing and baby sitting.

Tutor younger kids, Babysit, get good grades, be super nice and helpful to your parents to get back your allowance, sell your junk, trade in boring video games for cash, split money with other teen, have a bake sale to fundraise your pockets. Lastly look for programs from where you live that give out stipends. I attended a program at the Walter Reed Army Institiute of Research in maryland during the summer for a week and got an easy $100. |

Do little jobs around the house, ask to rake leaves, go to other streets and mow lawns, wash windows, anything that they will need to have done. |

Have him/her try to sell newspapaers on Sunday's. Cause whatever they sell, they end up keeping. Working as a bagger at a grocery mini market is another suggestion. |

Detail cars---you can make a good living off washing, waxing, and vac cars. Do a GREAT job on someone's car in your neighborhood for free, and then have them pass the word along. Taking a before and after picture helps and you could show the pictures to potential clients. |
