always be busy with something.... get ahead, and help co-workers with their job if you have to. bring in breakfast for him one morning... =) donuts, coffee, oj, whatever his fav may be. clean his office, organize.. be on top of your game.. have an answer to every question before its asked |

Be on time, keep your workspace neat, bring him coffee, ask him if you can help him with his work, ask if you can bring him lunch back when you take your lunch hour, and don't pack up before 5:00 and leave at 5:00 on the dot. You should just say is there anything else I can do to help I have completed my work and will gladly help if anyone else needs something done.
He will respect the fact you are wanting to work verus the fact he probably realizes you don't have much too do.
By asking it will build a level of work ethic
And maybe there are other things you could do and make it eaiser for him.
And not too many people would ask for more work so it shows you are a hard worker. |

Yes I agree with SOME of the others. Make an effort to keep busy at all times. If it means organizing the file cabinets, wiping down the desk, cabinets, keyboard...etc. then do that. Make sure that when your boss sees you to keep busy. Do your work correctly and everything will be fine. Punctuality is a MUST!. Your boss will see your qualities by your work. |
