Since "Uninstall" is actually a function of XP itself, you couldn't uninstall it.
The proper way to uninstall an operating system for the purpose of re-installing the same or different is to back up any data that you need, format the hard drive, and install/reinstall as needed. |

You will have to format the drive, often using the install CD of the operating system you want to install. |

First off why would you want to uninstall windows xp. That would be plain silly. Second if you have a problem, say something about it and maybe someone can tell you how to correct the problem. |

If you installed it as an upgrade, you can uninstall it from the control panel. If not, you will need to format the drive or at least, put the drive in another machine and remove the system files so you can install another operating system. Often, your system manufacturer has a system restore disk that will allow you to reset your system to factory installed condition. Without knowing why you need to do this, it is difficult to advise you on what method to pursue.
Good luck. |

Use command prompt and type in the drive that carries windows xp, you can format it that way. Or if you just want to install a older version of windows you can simply put the disc in and it should automatically do it. If it's too hard for you to do, you can use a program from Memorex, i forgot what it was called but just look it up. |
