I know the little counter clerks don't set all the random charges and "protection" fees etc etc, but you're the one's who take our money...
Surely you don't enjoy being part of the conspiracy which is ripping people off and causing debt, divorce, suicide and general ill-feeling.
I urge all Bank clerks to review their morals and go on strike or quit until the fat cats at the top start treating their customers with some respect for a change.
This goes for Credit Card employees as well... you know who you are.

Before people jump to assumptions, I'm not in any debt, myself, but I'm sick of random charges here and there...
ie £29 for a "Card Protection fee"... I only used it once for the whole year, how on earth can they justify it?
They can't.
"protection" is the term used by the Mafia... it's a euphemism for Extortion.... Banks and Credit Card companies are an even more sinister Organised Crime outfit... and they're getting away with it because it benefits the chancellery. |

I imagine they sleep just as well as the actors/ actresses that advertise cars, clothes, films etc. on films or TV. These are people doing a job. Just the same as the Tesco checkout person asks if you can pack your purchases and if you want cashback ,bank staff are required by their employers to promote products to customers. Just as you don`t purchase very item promoted on TV because you choose not to the same applies. |

These people are only trying to make an honest crust, they may be exploiting YOUR stupidity, but what they're doing is fine in both a moral and legal sense.
With banks, they pay YOU for the privilege of looking after YOUR money. A hundred years ago banks would charge for use of accounts and if you didn't have the money to operate a bank account you would just keep your money at home. If there was a fire, everything you own would have disappeared.
With credit card companies, you are borrowing their money, it is up to them to decide the interest and ensure that you are well informed about it. Credit is not a good idea but if you are really strapped for cash they are a good way out of a short term sticky situation. If you have credit card bills that YOU cant pay off this is YOUR fault.
Rather than trying to blame random companies, why not take responsibility for your own money and life |

I fully agree with Dibble's answer and he deserves 10 points. At the same time, I think the Banks must during this bad and difficult time have a second look at their forclosure actions especially in actions on the short sales of their mortgage borrowers homes. They are making them homeless and this is an inhuman act. Also such actions are a loss,loss kind of a situation. The government which is a peoples' government must step in to find a positive solution to this situation. It is the prime duty of any government to help its people to overcome hardships in their lives. |

They are simply doing a job. It is not their fault that you or anyone else is in debt. You are responsible for your own money. What do you want them to do? Quite their job and be a loser too? Not going to happen. Stop blaming the banks and credit card companies for problems that are created by you. Not them. |
