Not it does not sound a little wrong, it's REALLY, REALLY wrong. You are taking advantage of the less fortunate, those who don't even have a cent in their pocket! >_<
There are many ways for an able-bodied boy for you to do to earn the money and unfortunately, it still involves work. |

Sell things you don't want anymore to EBAY. Since you are 14 your parents might have to help you set up an account. Plus maybe you can do odd jobs like yard work. |

WOW you dont donate to yourself!!!!
Do something that kids your age need SUPPLY AND DEMAND
make a delivery system where people call you and you deliver stuff for them.
If your smart charge for tutoring or homework help.
School lunches suck. If you can figure it out make like a mini food service for kids to but lunch from you at school. |

You know it's wrong.
It'll make MOST of the general public, think twice or not even bother to make a donation, thinking it's a sham. And unfortunately, legitimate non-profit organizations will lose too.
Babysit or look into other legit and respectable ways of earning money.
Good luck! |

Be really nice to your parents and do chores around the house. Then ask for an allowance or spare cash. |

Painting addresses on curbs was always a good way to earn money. A small investment in number stencils, a wire brush, and spray paint is all you need to enter this cash business. The only problem is that you’ll have to be a city dweller is you want to try this. |

Well being 14 yrs. old makes it hard to help you, besides you legally can't work in any fast food restaurant unless your 16 yrs. old,and you don't want to deliver papers so that leaves manual labor for hire jobs! Cutting grass or shoveling snow for the elderly, washing cars, other types of yard work maybe around your own house, cleaning out basements or garages, there has to be something in there that interest you. |

Yeah that sounds wrong. The best way to get money is to ask your parents for it for your birthday or Christmas. Be patient. Also if you have any hobbies or interests, why don't you get a job suited for it? Ex. if you love books, work at a book store. |

Ask you parents if there is extra stuff you can do for them. Go around to neighbors and ask them and tell them your situation. If you did get a small job you would have extra cash on you all the time. The donation box sounds wrong. |

why dont you open your own business? i did it when i was a kid. it wasnt very sucsessful but it got some money in my pocket. charge neighbors or friends to mow there lawn, shovel there snow, bring in there newspapers from there drive way so that they dont have to get it, walk a dog, wash some cars, create a computer graphic company.... whatever u want! possibilites are endless! i know u can do it. |

Donations? are you thinking of fund raisers for a good cause? Do you have a hobby/talent at making something
you can sell..to raise funds for a good cause, after expenses
you can still earn a portion of the sales legitimately.
Otherwise, at 14 you can look for chores in the neighborhood
with family , friends.
Pet care is a good business, walking the animals, bathing
etc. yard work, groc. shopping ...
what ever you do, do it with honesty and enthusiasm.
Good luck and God Bless |

The donation box is not a good idea. People have empty wallets this time of year (after Christmas gifts and such).
You're only 14, which means newspaper delivery. You might be old enough for a job bagging groceries at the grocery store. You need to call and check because each state has different laws regarding the age you are allowed to work. Some jobs and some states allow younger ages, depending upon the type of work.
If you live in a snowy climate, you could shovel snow from driveways, sidewalks, porches, or if it's sunny, you could do mowing. You could also walk people's dogs. Also ask your family if there are any extra chores you could do around the house for extra money. Perhaps you could clean your family's vehicles for extra money.
Good luck - I admire your willingness to work to earn your money! |
