I got so tired of reporting them as spam in yahoo (and i still kept getting them) that i started answering them like this:
Name: Why Should i tell you
Account number: None of your business
Pin: ******** (get lost)
etc!
To say the least, it gave me a great laugh!!
To get rid of them, i suppose you could press the "spam" button although it didnt do me a lot of good!!
You could also try reporting them to the bank they claim to be from
Or you could report them to the anti-phishing working group

The RBS has no connection with HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland) |

You can't stop them. Just block the sender and don't give info to the sender. Obviously RBS will never ask for PIN details and whatnot through e-mail. In fact, they'll never ask for PIN numbers, I don't think.
Just block & delete it, or alternatively, give all your details to it. I know what one I'd choose. That's why I'm poor :( |

If the spoof email has said 'Dear customer' instead of your name then should be a spoof, email the correct RBS and they will check all your details with you etc. |

I just click "report this as spam" and occasionally I reply "BUGGER OFF" |

You should never ever even click on links in emails that you know that they are not something that is being sent by someone you know or joined. Just clicking on the link can open your computer to a bunch of heart ache. Everyone gets these emails, it is best to delete them right away and the next will soon follow. |

I get these all the time from sites claiming to be well known banks, building societies etc. None of which I actually bank with, I've never reported them to anyone but I always mark them as spam so I don't get the same one a second time |

You could probably click on the spam button. Are you in England or America? I know in America you can forward emails to the FBI if they are fraudulent...you will have to look around their site to find the right link. I'm sure Enland would have something similar...or scotland or wherever you are. |
