my best friend always talks sh*t about her former best friend because she screwed her over. she talks about other people as well and yet she is so nice to their face and has more friends and more people like her than me because i choose to keep to myself and not be fake. i want to ask her why she is so nice to everyone when she doesnt like half of them but i dont know how to say it.
Well, if you wanna stay friends with her, then don't be too harsh. Tell her that gossiping about others can really hurt them. Say that the "friends" that she talks about trust her and she is violating their trust. But, don't be too accusing. Say something like "If you feel a certain way about someone tell them, as you would want others to do for you."
PS- If she talks about everyone else, what makes you think she isn't doing the same too you?

If you tell her staight out to stop being fake, she will only deny the way she is acting as being real. However; if you tell her to stop acting fake even if she denies it.... it will make her think next time around. A lot of this will stop with maturity. Ask yourself are you willing to wait around? Or, is how she acting bothering you so much you can't handle it now! Good luck!
