While it would never be a choice i would make for myself I feel that the option should be there and it should always be legal and safe. The past has proven that even if it is illegal people will have it done even at the expense of the health or death. |

it's very sad, it's the life of your own child you are taking. people should take responsibility for their actions. it's hard to say this without passing judgement, after all, it is your own business what you want to do with your life. and if i get pregnant by accident i might just go crazy. but at the end i don't think i will be able to live with the guilt of going through abortion...and i think all babies are blessings :) |

I wouldn't have one. I wish that no one would. I think we need to make some changes in this world like more access to birth control and more education of young men and women to keep them from having sex too early.
And I completely disagree with the person who is against adoption. Allowing your child to be adopted by a loving childless family is a loving and courageous thing to do. |

Completely against it. If the parents didn't want a baby than they shouldn't of had sex or used a condom. I don't believe adoption either. It's the parents problem, no one elses. |

Asking that question is opening a can of worms on both sides of the issue. I approve of abortions in the case that the fetus was concieved thru criminal means like all kinds of rape, and in the case that having the fetus would threaten the mothers life. So I guess I am pro-choice. But keep in mind though that being pro-choice doesn't mean pro-death. It is simply a right to choose. |

I think it's rather sad. But I can't help put shame on the parents'. They should be ready for a baby before having one. |

I completly disagree. Anyone who wants to have sex should use a condom if they dont wanna have a baby.U should never kill a lil human.Its just wrong but thats my opinin. |

its the peoples choice, whether they want to bring a child into the world or not. Some people say its morally wrong, others think its right.....they should put a limit on when its to late to get an abortion(ex 6 mounth fetis) |

Well, it's a double edged sword for me. I don't believe in killing, you could be removing the life of a person who could have eventually did something great for the world, and there's really no reason in killing a baby except that the parents don;t want it or can;t care for it.
On the other hand, I believe in free will and freedom. If someone does not want their baby, go for it. We shouldn't force them, most pregnancies are unplanned anyway.
My final verdict is to not allow abortions, but rather send unwanted babies to foster care. Of course, this will be quite a burden on foster care as all babies will be kept alive and in need of a family, but if it can happen that way i'd love it to happen that way. Everyone deserves life, I sure wouldn't have wanted to be aborted. |

Abortion I don't really consider a personal choice. I think if the parents were stupid enough to have unsafe sex then they should be punished, not the child. I think adoption, foster care, etc. is a great way to handle an unplanned pregnancy. So many happy, loving couples don't have the ability to have their own children, despite their emotional and financial capability to raise one and I think adoption is a great way to mediate it out. There's no point in killing a perfectly healthy child when there are millions of couples who'd pay millions of dollars to be it's parent. The only time I think abortion could be considered an option is when the mother is raped and doesn't want to give birth to her rapist's child. It's cruel and unusual for the mother to have to raise a child she never wanted and never concented to it's conception. I also think termination of a fetus could be a medical option if it's discovered the baby is terminally ill before birth. So many children dieing from a disease they were born with have so much more tragedy than joy in their life, as do their parents. With the technology and knowlage we have today, there shouldn't be so many infants who were simply born to die and the parents should have the right to say they don't want to be put through that type of emotional strain. |
