How do you determine price markup?
When determining the price of a product you are going to sell.

Decide the percent of markup you want and multiply your cost times 1 plus that percent. For example you want a 35% markup (the lowest you should ever have) and multiply the cost times 100 plus the markup. You paid $10 so multiply $10 times 135% to get 13.50 as your asking price.. Or if easier, multiply the $10 by.35 to get $3.50 and add it to the $10 cost to get $13.50.
