How do you feel about eating meat?
I don't know what's up with me...I love meat, but I'm starting to believe maybe we weren't really meant to eat meat at all. Our bodies don't seem to be all that adept at digesting meat and hearing that it sits rotting away in our intestines...slightly icky.
What do you think?

Mmm...meat. lol

Beats the heck out of Tofu. If I'm going to have something rotting inside me I want it to taste good going down. Don't get me wrong, I like my veggies but I gotta have my meat. Come to think of it, might just go and grill me a big steak right now. I'm hungry.

What makes you think that we can't digest meat well? It is a very important part of our diet. We need the nutrition from it. Oh yeah, I love to eat it!

I appreciate where you're coming form, but I don't think you should give up ALL meat entirely.
Just keep one.... as a vice, shall we say?

I understand the movement to protect animals. To me, it really is a question of one's own personal and moral beliefs.

I will tell you that I wish I could be a vegetarian. I cannot. But I am more concerned today how animals are raised for our consumption. Are they subjected to torture by putting in cages where they can't move. Do they have their beaks removed so they can't peck at each other because of the crowded conditions? Do they molt their feathers because of stress? Growing up on a small farm in Oregon, the animals we raised for our consumption all had free range within a large fenced in area. They were never in cages, except the rabbits and they had individual cages. The chickens ran free, but went into their coop at night.

I am absolutely stunned by the way meat is raised for our consumption by the large corporate farms in America. It speaks ill of our nature.

Yes, we are supposed to eat meat. If you don't, that's your choice, but our molers were 'designed' (for our ansestors) to rip thru tough meat.

Humans did'nt rise to the top of the food chain to eat veggies all the time. "Vegetarian" is actually an American indian word for "lousy hunter".
