The Chinese have become a great industrial power and it is getting more sophisticated every day. (I know that most of their industry in not technologically based, but rather people based. But that is changing.)
Chinese products are poor quality. But that is not the fault of the Chinese. It is the fault of all of the manufacturers around the world wanting more and cheaper products.
I have no feelings one way or another about many products being manufactured in China.
What I have a problem with is the USA outsourcing their military parts to China, Korea and Japan. I think that military or other vital products should be manufactured in the country of origin. |

well, china is helping the international economy to get balanced. Low prices make competitors to improve quality and get down prices just to gain consumer preferences around the world |

Its OK. We simply get the products cheaper. |

I think it is our own fault. We are a greedy nation. Laborers want higher wages, suppliers and manufacturers want bigger profits. The prices of goods goes up to cover this. We have lusted after the almighty dollar to the point that we can no longer produce an affordable product in this country. |

as long as its cheap, who cares? |

Do you mean we didn't make anything here in the USA today? Gee. |

it'll be fun to see what happens when the chinese laborors realize that they can't buy what they're making, and demand higher wages and ruin overseas buisness because it will no longer be cheaper to have things made there and then imported back. basically, it will all eventually balance itself, so i don't really care. |

Most products are competitve...although i don't think I'd buy a chineese car. They do make really good comunists there...second only to Russia. |

Well as a producer, I would definitely be happy due to the low producting costs as a consumer I don't reallt care as long as the quality is good. Of course it would have been better if my country did not import that much from China... |

That's what happens when you have a "global economy".
Cheap labor, high prices, mo money for the stockholders and the bosses.
Isn't this a great world we live in? |

well I seem to run into a lot of things that are very cheaply made, and I am sure there are some really well made quality things there as well but I guess that old saying is true you get what you pay for. |

it reminds me of that picture where the aristocrats dance on the dancefloor while the working class holds it up in agony. |

What's worse than that is the out sourcing companies like Microsoft and Dell do in India. Nothing worse than needing tech support here in America and getting a guy on the phone in India and dealing with a language barrier. |

I do not like the idea that most of the things I purchase are made in China. However, some American workers are either too lazy or just want a handout. My daughter went to take a test for the UP Railroad today. There were 37 applicants. After they were all briefed on the test and job requirements ($12.60 starting to be a laborer), over half walked out. Said they wouldn't empty trash for that amount. Just don't understand some people. |

Well, I'm tired of this. Everything I buy it's made in China. I mean wake up Romania, France, Italy and I don't know who else! Isn't anyone besides China making products? Aren't you people tired of buying everything made in China? Don't you want something that is mad in your country? |
