How do you get a whole bunch of money really fast?

Like within a couple days.

I'd just like to catch up some bills and have a little dough in the bank. :)

Here are some suggestions:

-Borrow from a payday loan store. You usually can borrow $100 and up to $1,500 at a time, depending on the chain.
-Take out a refinance or home equity loan on your real property (only if you have good credit). In a lot of cases, these loans can close within 5-10 days after applying.
-Pawn or sell various items (music CDs, DVDs, jewelry, antiques, cleaning equipment, etc.). Having a yard sale may also help with money and reorganize your home.
-Collect and turn in scrap metal (you be surprised at how much metal is around)
-Ask multiple people you know well to let you borrow a small amount of money and place a date to pay them back. For example, borrow $20 each from your mom, friend, co-worker and sweetheart for a total $80. You get help easier than asking only one person to lend you one large amount of money.
-Try scratch-off lotto tickets. You usually get the best luck when you buy them from the more affluent parts of town.
-Apply for only one credit card.

I do not recommend the following:

-Gambling other than the scratch-off tickets. You may fall into debt in many cases.
-Committing crimes or doing anything against your moral beliefs. Trust me, even if these do pay big in the short run, you and your family may suffer a lot of pain later. Money is not worth risking your freedom for.
-Borrowing against your real property if a subprime loan is the only option provided. Subprime loans are the hardest mortgages to get out of due to their high closing costs and interest rates. If you're told that subprime is the only loan you can get, walk away; this tells you that you're better off without the loan.
-Applying for another credit card when you currently owe on other credit cards.

Don't do anything fun like take money out of retirement funds. If you can get my without it, leave it where it is. You can sell unnecessary items, like electronics you don't use anymore or old jewelry. Even the cheap stuff sells on EBay.

the only way do do what you just proposed is to sell cocaine or any type of drug which commands a large amount of consumers. If you would rather not risk it with the law then invest in the stockmarket and who knows you could be thousands of $ richer the next day.

p.s. project payday is a No No I tried it and nothing good cae from it
