People don't get adopted any more. If someone wants to adopt, it's a baby. If you got removed from your guardian, you'd end up in a foster care, or a county living center if you're in a big city. These places SUCK. You don't keep your possessions, because you're a minor you technically don't own anything, everything you have belongs to your guardian. If you got removed, and your grandma was nice enough to let you keep more than the clothes on your back, you don't get a lot of stuff. There just isn't room. You'd get to keep 4-5 outfits, maybe 2 pairs of shoes, and what you could fit in a backpack. It's not fun. |

I can empathize with you. My grandmother is a person nobody can stand. I solve my problem by letting all her comments slide past, and don't pay attention to them. If she tells me to do something, I do it promply and to the best of my ability even if I'm doing something I think is important. If you don't, she'll probably interrupt you later and it'll take up more of your free time than if you had just gone and done that thing. Most times, to get her off my case in times of berration, I just say "Yes ma'am" or "No, ma'am" and she eventually stops yelling at me. Just try to remember that no matter how much she'll yell at you, she loves you, and if you thonk about it, you'll find you love her to. (I also find that spending time with her, like going to church or out to lunch with her makes her happy, and she is less likely to yell at me later). |
