Get him a psychiatric evaluation as he may be a danger to himself your doctor can help with this.
Counselling where he can talk thru his problems
Be understanding and let him know how wonderful you think he is & how much you admire him, not just by telling him but by your actions to him.
Try to build up his self esteem, he may have a low opinion of himself.
Is he blaming himself for something like a divorce or a death?
Is he being bullied physically or mentally
Could he be taking drugs? - Some drugs can cause suicidal feelings
He needs help, your first step should be to talk to his doctor, before he does kill or seriously hurt himself or others

Has he been checked out for Bipolar? That sounds like it. Bipolar makes you do things like that. Otherwise. I would have him evaluated at your local mental hospital. He may be doing it for attention. well he's at least scaeing you an your mom
maybe she should have him talk to a consouleor
or just have him picked up an put under watch for 24 or 48 hours.. for sucide be strong for him
you may very well save his life if not well he'll get over it |

I would say... talk to him... find out why he wants to do it (and stay calm)... and then try to uplift his spirits, and give him all the reasons you could think on why he should stay alive, if you could talk him into getting outside help, that would be better, but sometimes just having someone to listen is the best cure... good luck! |

WOW! Next time he's going off on a tangent (I know this may sound harsh) call the police with out him knowing, and they will take him to a hospital for help.
Really, your mother should take him to the hospital herself, before it comes to that. |

you talk to him. why would he want to do it? no ones life is perfect, but the rest of us aren't putting guns to our heads. ask him why he would want to give up on life. tell reasons not to give up. |

He seriously needs help. Try and get him to make the first move though cos he could react badly if you did it behind his back and then he'd retaliate. Try and get him to see a doctor and just tell them everything so they can decide the best course of action to take. Has he been like this for long???? Does he suffer from depression???? If he does then this is just a down stage for him and as long as he takes any meds he is on then it would pass. If you cant get him to go to the doc's you could try and get him to see a councillor. Maybe he has been through a traumatic experience lately and this has caused him to feel this way and councilling could help. Oh yeah and Good Luck |
