2-5 days if you're a business.
45 days if you're my landlord. |

To give yourself an extra day or two, use an off colored ink like red or pink. Most checks clear through an automated system. It has to be hand-checked if the ink is not dark enough or doesn't register. |

About 4 days, depending on the size of the company cashing the check. Larger companies have a quicker process. |

depends on who you wrote it to. At my apartments they do it electronically, so in a matter of hours. IF you wrote it to a place of business......two to three days. It first has to go into their account at their bank....and then on to your bank. I FLOAT checks all the time. If im broke and need groceries.....Ill write a check 2 days before payday and IM cool. Hope that helps. |

It depends mostly on where it is negotiated and what bank it is drawn on. Having said this, in most cases overnight. |

now it can take 24 hours or even less,
depends when they deposit the check.. |

Check with YOUR bank for their checkhold policies. It should be less than 3 days.
If you have a check from someone drawn on ABC bank, you could go to ABC bank and request cash. ABC must pay you in cash unless there are no funds in that account (that is, it is a bad check). |

In Md my bank held a check for 72 hours. I did ***** them out and they let me get a couple of bucks out, but thats it. |

Depends on where/whom you wrote the check out to. If it is a large dept store, the check can clear the same day. Otherwise it can take as long as a week. |
|

Pobept

that depends on when the payee deposits the check in their account or cashes it! |

How long does it take for a Pocket Check transaction to clear my account?
It depends on how quickly the merchant processes the transaction. It could take as little as 2 days, or it could possibly take longer for the transaction to clear your account |

You should always assume any check you write is going to clear immediately. If you depend on the float, sooner or later you're going to bounce a check. |
