my Advice: Don't deal with anyone from a foreign country or Accept checks from strangers and never use wire/bank transfer services.. you risk losing your $$ and your mind. |

Somebody got hold of my address and phone number a couple of years back, and sent me a check for $27,800. I just about dropped my teeth, as you might imagine. I contemplated cashing it for about 15 seconds (believe it or not, an agent for the well-known and reputable insurance company on whose account it was [fraudulently] written actually offered to cash it for me on the spot, insisting that I *must* have had a policy I'd forgotten about - go figure...); after that, I simply turned the thing over to the police, and changed my phone number!
My story is true, weird as it is; if YOU have actually bought into one of these Nigerian scams, close your bank account NOW. |

they sent me a cashiers check for 2500.00
I called the bank to see if it was legit and they said NO and I turned my packet they sent in to the police.
it was UPS in 2 days! |
