I understand you adding UK sterling it seems some of those answering do not now that other countries use a"pound" as their national currency name. It does not mean it equals a £ sterling. The answer to your question as correctly stated befeore is approximately US$ 2,420,000 (ie 2dollars for every pound). For the correct figure check the papers and look the £ against the $ and multiply by the amount you wish to find out the value for.
Be careful you should note that the rate quoted in the paper may be the amount in the fincial markets.
Most papers also show the tourist rates which will be those available to the public.
If you were to deal in the figure quoted I would try several sources. Banks, travel exchanges and foreign exchange dealers, etc. This because with the figure you quoted each cent in your favour =$12100 dollars For example if exchange rate offered is $2.01 too the pound you would receive $2,432,100
You reach this for any figure by:
$RATE x STERLING AMOUNT
