How much do cereal companies pay for their materials? (boxes, ingredients)?
I need to know how much cereal companies pay per cereal box (without the cereal)
i also need to know how much cereal companies pay per cooking ingredients
My guesstimate based on what I learned when owning a design firm and having some knowledge of the food industry, would say that a box of Cheerios is probably 35 cents for the box, and perhaps 20 cents for the actual cereal. That does not take into consideration the cost of development, design, meeting FDA requirements, taxes, overhead, etc. Just ingredients for the Cheerios, and just the printing and assembly of the box.
