i'm a bit old to be getting allowance, i give my 16yr old $100 a week(Aus money-about $90 in USA) and my 2 yr old gets $30ma week put into a bank accoutn for her that shes not allowed to touch until shes 18, but she will still get allowance seperately when shes older.
$15 is a lot! i was one of many children, my twin sister and i got the equivalent of $3 a week to share between us. which back then it would normally buy about 2 bars of chocolate and a packet of lollies(this was in germany) and when we visited my granparents they would give us 1 pound each to get a glass 600ml bottle of coke and a bag of lollies. money was worth more bak then...

How old are you? it all depends on how much you spend at a time. My older brother was getting $40 a week when he was 16.
I dont get allowance but my parents usually buy most of my stuff for me and i babysit and stuff like that.
