I would think around £18,000 would probably be an average starting salary, unless you will be being paid commission and then you'd probably be looking at about £15-16,000 basic plus commission. |

I think it depends on how much you want to eat. Well, THAT and where you live/work. The going rate is based on how many willing and available qualified workers there are for that area combined with the cost of living. |

What do you need to bring home to be able to pay your bills without having to juggle the bills every month? That's the definition of a "living wage". Unless you can (as lawyers do)make your living completely devoid of morals & ethics, a living wage is probably unattainable. To see how the pay rate at your new job stacks up against similar jobs, the GAO (gov't accounting office) has all the information you could ever need to decide for yourself if you can do better. |

Here is a life lesson for you.
When you receive your payslip open it an take a good look at the bottom line.
'Seriously' ask yourself, is this what I am worth against the qualities I know I have to offer?
Only you can answer that question.
The answer alone will decide what 'at 22' you do next.
What you do about it will decide if the bottom line is the same when you are 27. |

If I were you, I wouldn't take less than $9 an hour (although the standard of living is different in different parts of the country--I live in the midwest). It's not hard work, but it can be stressful, I'm sure. |

It all depends where you live and what your 5 years experience is. But, after 5 years experience I would hope I was on about £16,000 per annum at least. |
