How much more time is it going to be before the US economy completely crashes?
In todays world you have to wonder how much longer the US economy can continue. The debt continues to grow and the US Government continues to spend like there is no tomorrow.

What are your thoughts?

As long as gas prices keep rising, and driving up the cost of EVERYTHING, causing inflation to go through the roof - then the economy will continue to tank.

When the middle class goes broke, like we are on the way to doing now. When housing, utilities, gas, food, and heath insurance take up your whole salary, spending on anything other than necessities will be a luxury we can't afford. It's happening more and more every day. Most people are cutting back, don't you think?

Before we know it.

Crazy man
Don't get alarmed as it has happened before but with that astronomical spending in wars it may not be far unless something is done promptly . Their are signs of it among them failure to pay the home mortgages, the devaluation of the dollar against the Euro, the increase in cost of life, the quick surging of countries like China and India, the increase in the price of the barrel of petroleum today at $105.00, the increase of the unemployment all contribute for the actual situation.

What do you mean by "completely crash?" It won't be as obvious as, say, the Great Depression because there are too many safeguards in place and most big companies on Wall Street are International entities that can exist and flourish regardless of what happens to the United States.

Economically, difficult times are just ahead. If you read up on the Stagflation of the 1970's under Jimmy Carter, you will get an idea of what we have in store. This will probably be worse in some respects, since the first solution for all Presidential candidates will make things worse, not better, and we have a Health Insurance Crisis and Social Security bankruptcy coming right behind. In addition, the attempts to "slow economic growth" for the sake of the environment will also stall things. So, yes, it will be bad. But, again, you probably won't ever really have a sense that things have "crashed."

give it a few years

the economy is crashing fast. how soon is unpredictable, but it will be pretty soon, considering how the president is trying to fix it now, and he better fix it fast, or else.

Haven't really thought about it CRASHING* per say/ cause US has connections and before you knw it they will have money coming out of everywhere again.
So basically, yeah a couple more years til it reaches maybe a recession or something, but thats about it, no more extreme than that.
