What will make a big difference here about the rates will be your credit rating, and whether this is to be secured or unsecured (the latter less of an issue with a good credit rating).
If you have a good credit history, you will be looking at maybe 7%? repaying about £400 a month, total repayments being £24k? A bad credit rating will be more like 18-50% Apr, repaying over £30k and closer to £500 a month.
Shop around to see what rates you can get, don't be fooled into thinking brokers are lenders - and only do this if you are very sure you can repay! |

It depends what your APR is.
You would have to pay £333.33 a month over 5 years to pay off exactly 20k so obviously it would be more than that per month.
Your best bet is to try and find a flexible loan where you only pay the interest over the amount of time you have borrowed the money instead of being a fixed rate, also one that has no early repayment charge.
If then in years down the line you get a better rate from elsewhere you lend off them and pay your exisiting loan back saving you a lot of money in interest in the long run.
Beneficial finance offer flexible loans (part of HSBC) rates and amounts vary on credit ratings of course. |
