There is no dole. You can get a job search allowance, or a student study allowance depending on your circumstances. If you dependent on your parents you can't get it. If you are independent, then you can (but you have to prove you are independent by showing that you made approx $11000 in 18 months). If you can't prove you are independent but can prove you have been forced out of home, you you can get it. You can only get the job search allowance if you prove you are going for jobs regularly. |

Old enough to spell would help greatly, slacker want-to-be. I believe you are referring to what we call in the States "getting on welfare" or "sucking from the public teat."
on the dole: receiving regular relief payments from or as if from the government.
I would suggest if you're old enough to use the computer and know about "on the dole," you're old enough, at minimum, to be a grocery bagger or fry cook at McDonald's. Scurry on then. Or do you say "bugger off"? G'day. |

Do you mean DOLE?
garryparker09 - Dole would make the sentence make sense, doll would not. It depends on what is being asked. |
