If you're in the US, the post office sells them. Many grocery stores also offer them through the customer service desk. Banks also offer them, I believe. There is of course a fee, so be sure you have extra cash with you. |

Banks are usually expensive. I find that grocery stores are the cheapest. The one near me is only 50 cents. |

You can either purchase them at a bank or financial institutions, money orders are easy to obtain and may only cost a couple bucks at convenience stores, or moneygram, or where they sell wires. |

You can get a postal money order. It's not expensive ($1.00-2.00 up for up to $1,000.) Then, if someone misuses the money, it's a federal offense. |

You can usually get a money order from your bank. If you are are a member of AAA, you should be able to get it from them as well. Good luck. |

Go to your bank and request one, pay the price for the order + the fee the bank charges (if there is one where you bank). They should fill it out and give it to you that day. |
