A.A | How to mange money? |

create a budget for each "pay period" stick to it and save save save. When money falls into your lap put it aside for a rainy day. Bad things happen as easily as good things. Once you start and realize where you money needs to go and where it has been going, you will start to pick up little things that help you. Your budget should include all bills, payments to CC, and weekly expenditures like groceries and entertainment and lunches, etc. Be as specific as you need to in segmenting your money. |

Know what you earn and don't let your expenses go over it. Budget for your expenses, such as figuring out how much your bills are for a month, divide it by 4, and take that much money out of your pay each week and set it aside for your bills. |

Mange money? Mange is a disease that dogs get.
If you want to 'manage' money - write down a budget, then don't spend more than you have ... basically that means restricting impulse purchases. |

Lose bad debt, get good debt... debt that pays you back monthly... IE purhcase a rental home with positive cash flow. You will recieve income from the rental, and also gain equity in the property. If it is bringing you in more then you are spending to keep it up... this is good debt.
In my opinon saving money is not a good idea (remember inflation eats 3% of the money you save a year)...Invest your money in foreign markets at this point and I feel you will reap some rewards. Investing has its risks, but those risks can be minimized by knowing what you are doing. I suggest you read some books and learn as much as you can about money managment, and investing for the future.
Saving does not get you far, investing can get you much further. Very few people can retire off of what they have saved in savings accounts over the years. If you saved $400 a month from the time you are 40, at 60 you would think you would have $96,000 in the bank. If your savings account gave you 1% (which is extreamly high for a bank savings account) that would mean that inflation would affect you at 2% (instead of the standard 3% a year). So now your $96,000 is effectivly worth $92,504.16.... you've lost money.... Let your money work hard for you, not you work hard for your money. Most people fail to save even $400 a month..., now figure after saving for 20 years you have less than $100,000 to retire off of...if you live to be 80... do the math and that leaves you with less than $380 a month to live on (factoring in some inflation which will furhter deplete your savings) Could you live on $380 a month... doubt it... property tax alone you could barely pay... let alone eat...
Please read the short article below in the sources section. Robert Kiyosaki and Warren Buffet are pretty important people to follow when dealing with money managment and investing. |

Step 1: Find a empty jar or other waterproof container.
Step 2: Take a portion of your money and put it in the jar.
Step 3: Bury the jar.
Step 4: Forget about it. |

I suggest getting a book by Dave Ramsey. My hubby and I got the The Total Money Makeover and it has been incredibly informative. He has many other books as well; the Total Money Makeover has a focus on getting out of debt, but talks about a ton of other stuff as well. |

PEACE! |
