ask your parents for help?

I had to learn this in college, and I wish I had in high school. You have a certain amount of material you have to memorize. Take some pre-study time. Put it in a form that you memorize best. If it's visual, sort your info into groups or columns or colors or something that you can recall best from seeing. If its auditory repeat it out loud.
Your writing looks fine, so I'm thinking that's not a problem. Make sure you read assigned work, and keep your book open to the reading assignment, so if you get called on, you can flip to the page of the answer.

If you don't like them, the best revenge is to do well.

My problem in school basically came from the students, not the subjects. I used to get picked on a lot, and thusly I had no friends. I was very negative and I didn't want to go to school ever again after I graduated from HS.
But the reality striked me big time. I didn't want to end up flipping burgers or working at Wal-Mart for the rest of my life. So I started looking and now, over a year later, I'm in the middle of my second semester of college, studying to become a graphics designer. I've always liked art and it's something I know I can do without getting bored of it. Art has always been my best quality.

My advice:
For starters, get yourself a tape recorder. Even an MP3 player that has a recording function will work. Record your classes on tape or MP3 and play them back. If by MP2, you cna even download then lectures to your computer and save them for later, thus freeing up your space in the player. Listen to the lectures. By recording them, you can go back and pick up anythign you might have missed.
Create study sessions in the afternoons after or in between classes. Study for at least half an hour, but take breaks like to stretch or walk around or to just get some air. Staying all cramped up can make you not want to study at all.
Next, be persistent. Even if you get one A, you might plummet on your next grade if you don't stick with it.
Good luck

Just relax and try to study in 20 min and then do something for 80 min and then study for like 20 more min it will help!

Take advantage of school while it is free. As you grow up you realize how interesting learning can be and how much you regret not really trying to learn in school. You might have ADD. Consult a doctor to be sure you don't have it.

Also, and I hate to be so blunt about this, but if your parents are paying for your college education, don't waste their money. Go to college when you are ready to learn and know what you want to become in life. It's a huge disappointment on the parent when they spend thousands and thousand, and thousand on tuition when you just waste it. Think about what they are sacrificing to put you through college.

Good luck

drop out and have 17 kids.
that's all you can do.

damesha
Simply consider the consequences. Do you want to remain in high school next year? Dropping out should NOT be an option. A High school diploma is needed out here in the big bad world.

Just CON - CEN - TRATE !!! One class at a time. One assignment at a time.

Get a tutor. If you don't have the answers, ask someone who does!

shawna_42069_2005
heres what you do, find someone is really good at school and willing to help you. Have them duck tap you to a chair and have them teach you. Thats what my brothers did to me and now I'm getting straight A's and graduting early. Or just listen to your favorite music and study and chew gum because its proven that chewing gum helps you get better grades and learn more. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!

just learn about what you are interested in.. I failed EVERYTHING in high school, then went to college and only took classes I was interested in -- ok so I didn't get a degree but still I know a lot more than it seem people with degrees know *street smart, random knowledge sense*

You are exactly and very moment to become an adult. And first sing is that you have realize how you don´t like to study but in deep inside of you know very well that this is the only way to have a good life. Is like when you want to quit smoking, no matter how many gummy(anti-nicotine) or all the stuff you use to quit, is only matter of WILLING.
When you got the willing, is all that you´ll need.

i am so cool
think about ur future. and do u want to be a bum on da street? sorry for being so harsh

bigsistar12
Honestly, what I do is find the most interesting part about that subject and focus on that. Find a study partner, go to the library, or tutor. tutoring helps you also understands others innabilities to learn or to stay focused. Being a mentor helps you appreciate more what you are lacking.

dlwderby
Did you ever think maybe you have an attention span problem see a doc maybe that will help, but most of all know that what you do now affects your future, if you want a good one with less hardships you need to buckle up and go for the ride.

See if Sylvan or some other tutoring program can get you in. Taking a speed reading class may help. Try to relate teh material to your life, in some way.

Really you have to get your mind set! If you really want something in your life you have to get self driven no ones going to do it for you. Make it interesting, set a couple of small goals for yourself. Make sure you reward your self.

We go through life really not liking alot of people that are in our lives but you must learn how to cope because we all are in this world together and frankly there are alot of crazy fckd up people.

Take baby steps, we all do not like doing certain things. You say it is awful and it probley is in your mind. It is just a stepping stone in your life that you can concour. Try making one of your teachers proud, ( And don't make it the worst one)(Remember Baby Steps)

I am almost 30 years old have 3 kids. I can set the mood with my attitude. We can't all be smiling or crying. Just purchase my first home a year ago. I have lived on my own since I was 16. I have struggled all my life, I had to get driven for my kids I want there life to be better. It sound like you are getting help paying for your college education. So you could really rise above and make your life what ever you want.

What are you going to studying and your interest. So you say that you are not a people person, I am but my girlfriend who is a graphics designer is not. We are all different and unique. So what make you happy? What do you have strong feelings about. In the blink of your eye this year will be over.

People also learn in different way. My 9 year old struggles to learn yet, my two year old speak more fluent than the 9 year old. Touch someones life to day! Then go rock out to your favorite song. Set a goal to study for 15 min. twice a week. Then 20 min. Then 30. Ect.

A weight lifter doesn't start our with hundred of pound. The first step has alread been taken. You realize what you want and how you are... Now write the plan out to make it better.

Life is life a road with curves, bumps, When you are at the top of the hill it is great but when we slip down to the bottem it sucks. We would never appreciate the top if it wasn't for the bottem!

Best Wishes Have a Great Life!

if you hate school don't worry about it.... we all hated it when we were young. My advice is to enjoy life and do something that makes you happy. Don't go to college now... if your grades are bad now and you can't concentrate on schooll you'll jut flunk out of college anyway.. so take some time off and travel... see the world then decide.

Have you ever thought of the possibility of ADD/ADHD? I had trouble in school with this as well. I got good grades because I was blessed with smarts and the will to never give up. It was difficult for me to stay in a book and study though. If it didn't interest me my mind wandered. This followed me into college where it was even more difficult to keep up. I finally got frustrated and quit. At 32 I finally found out I have ADHD. It is like the wheels in your brain are constantly moving...like a ping pong ball bouncing off the walls. It only took 2 hours of simple tests to figure out I have this condition. I take a pill twice a day to help settle this. Pretty simple. I wish the information was there when I was younger...would have made life a bit easier. So...I encourage you to look into this. I personally know how difficult it can be. I wish you the best...:)

Really u might need help if u dont know wut to do for ur life mayb become an artist or lawyer? i dont really know srry tryin to gain points

You have two options, to work or to go to school. If you do not want to go to school, then you can start looking for your career (which is not going to be a good one since you will not have a degree). If living paycheck to paycheck is what you want to do, then just go ahead and get a job and do not go to school. You could get lucky and find a good job with only a diploma that might pay good but do not count on it. My answer would be to suck it up and sit in school for 2-4 years and be able to live your life without worrying about money. If you do go to college, you chose to go to college and you are paying for it so you are more likely to enjoy it. Not to mention, you are working for something that you actually want to do.

I am a tutor and as a child had dyslexia. My best learning style is "kinesthetic"(?) and visual. Is this you? If so I can help with several solutions. One is, keep moving, when appropriate and learn as you walk. I read, pray, plan, and do most of my thinking while I am moving. You can tap your foot while you read or doodle or move your fingers like you are playing the piano.

Memorize to a beat or a tune. Use colors to highlight the facts you need to remember. Perhaps your brain will zoom in on the color and it will aid in memory. Take ALL he TIME you NEED to UNDERSTAND the directions before you do the work. Be sure you get a good dose of physical exercise and creative stimulation...listen to good music, dance, even alone...just move to the music. Find out your talent and skill and real interest and begin to develop that on the side. Make sure it is a part of your everyday life.

Let me know if you want more and if this helped

Honestly? I hated high school. Everything we learned was the same crap over and over and over again. I'm sorry, but you can only learn about the revolutionary war so many times in hardly any detail before you want to scream! Do you have a local arts center? I'd suggest checking it out. Maybe they have a class on something that would interest you. Most offer scholarships so you wouldn't neccessarily have to pay lots of money to do this. Free seminars at a local college might be cool, too. (They tend to do a number of talks about things that are open to anybody, just check their schedule!)

Once you find something you're interested in, you'll actually enjoy 'learning' about it!
