I got hired as a receptionist at a small engineering firm. But for some reason, after the boss learned I knew how to do some accounting Peachtree work, she has me inputting invoices which is very difficult (sporadic training). After two weeks, I don't think I will be very happy at this company (lots of drama and disorganization) and I want to resign. How do I go about it without making her mad? She scares me.

I'm just freaked out because everyone badmouths the boss. Also, she was badmouthing a previous worker who listed her as a reference. |

Schedule a meeting with her.
Write out all the issues you are having with the job (no training, no support, etc)
Go through each item with her
At the end, if she has not offered any assistance to you, say "I am very sorry, but I don't think this is a proper fit." give her your two weeks (or 1 week, give her some notice) and look for something else. |

I would first ask the boss for training. It might not be so bad once you have the training needed. If the boss refuses, then I would search for another position while telling the boss that i would be giving a 2 weeks notice. |

just tell her you don't feel this job is a good fit, ask her if she wants you to even work for 2 more weeks or can you leave earlier. just be polite, she's not gonna shoot u, u aren't the first person who ever quit a job.. |

Be polite . tell her up your not happy , Best to find another job first . then if she gets up tite you wont lose any money. Also some companies prefir to hire someone who is working and wants to improve there self. |
