How would you rather spend your money, cash, check, debit, or charge?
Personally, I wish we could use cash for everything, I even wish we could send cash in the mail. With cash, you don't need to be concerned about interest, bouced checks, or overdrawn. What way would you rather pay?

Cash. It is untracable, un-hackable, you can't use identity theft on it, you can still buy anything with it, the only downside is that you'd have to carry a lot, and you can't report it stolen.

I agree with you--cash for me.

laron510
I never carry cash on me. I use my debit card for everything. Its so much easier, I think!

Cash works for me. I wish I could get paid from work with cash. The only thing I need a checking account for is to send a check for mail in payments.

Loose Change™¢
Cash, of course, would be my first choice since I don't have to pay interest on it. Checks are fine, just like cash, but you have to take the trouble to write out the check. If you have insufficient funds, then there's even more expense. The worst is credit, because of the interest fees.

yeah I completely agree, plus it's not trace-able either!

I'm a cash girl!!

Cash is more inconvenient at times, but probably outweighs the perpetual debt most people put themselves into with credit. At least you can 'see' the money exchanging hands this way. Cash also has the benefit of being substantially harder to trace.

Then it would be unsafe travelling around with large wads of cash. Very risky. Debit would be a better choice. It's my choice. Debt-free me!

I put apsoloutley everything I buy on a credit card to obtain the frequent flyer point (this suits me as I fly overseas alot)

I use savings when I need to withdraw money & I only use my banks ATM because transactions are free

It depends on your lifestyle to what method you use.

Jackie S
Debit, hands down. It's like cash, only it's safer. If you lose your wallet with your debit card in it, you can call and cancel the card and your money is safe. If you lose your wallet with cash in it, you'll never see your money again. Don't use credit cards!

Cindy J
I agree with you but, the only problem is - if you have a bunch of cash on you while you are shopping and it is somehow lost or stolen - it's GONE! At least with checks, debit and charge cards you a have a little protection.

Debit Cards are really easy to use, you can't lose any money, and it's really easy when paying for things.

But reallly, I'd have to agree with you. Cash is much less of a hassle.

I would say credit.

You cannot use cash to buy a house unless you are wealthy or you have been saving since birth. With that being said, I think building a credit history is important. It helps in purchases with cars and homes. Also, if you ever get into a bind, you have credit to fall back on.

Don't get me wrong, I do not believe in charging what you cannot pay for in hard earned cash. I never pay interest but the credit is there if I ever need it.

With credit you get monthly statements, so everything stays nice and organized in a safe manner on your bank's web site. I am happy with my Wells Fargo and Bank of America credit cards. The banking is very easy and reliable.

But hey, whatever is clever.

Cash.
It keeps me from getting into debt, and it also helps me to live within my means! Glory to God! Financial freedom is ours when we learn not to overspend and live within our means!

Well, sometimes it's better to NOT use cash as cash can EASILY get lost in the mail, and my father, retired letter carrier since 10/99, was saying sometimes it's hard to keep the mail from blowing when it's windy outside, and you take it out from the outside boxes at the post office.

I use cash nost the time whenever practical because it's all the more easier to keep up with how much I ACTUALLY have on day-to-day basis without worrying about calculating fees and what have you. I don't own credit cards, so if I ever need to use a card, I use my bank card that has a credit card logo on it.

As for overdrawn, I think that there should be written permission from people if they want their account overdrawn, and without such a high fee ( around $30 is the overdraft fee from my bank). Shoot, myself, if i don't have dough in the bank, then I don't want anything overdrawn. My income does not allow me to pay $30 every time that happens. As for bounced checks, I only write two checks a month.

Debit baby, I use it all the time, I never carry cash but maybe $50.00 and that's it....the debit card is a sure thing, just swipe it, its done, and keep the receipts and total them at the end of the week and deduct from checking acct.or tally each day.

but its the fastest, easiest way to spend the money...

I never use checks any more, not for anything, don't carry them.........debit card, American express and that's it.

don't have time to count out cash, and debit is faster, no change to wait around for......

His Wifeyy ♥
Debit. :)

I prefer it over cash.. because if cash is stolen from you theres next to no getting it back.

If your card is stolen you call, cancel it.. and if they already used it then you can file unauthorized charges with your bank and get your money back.

But I prefer Debit over Credit because it comes out of your acct instantaneously. :)

edoedo
i rather cash but not a lot of money, also i carry atm card with me .
the only way i making more money than ever is leaving your money in the bank when you fill up to 10,000 dollars than get another bank and do the same thing again, then get another bank.
oh boy i have learned lot!
also, learn that in bible.
it pretty hard to understand but it does helps!
sorry talking too much.
