Well since you are 14, and have to go to school, I would say you need a part-time job after school, like maybe working in a florist, or grocery store, or a gas station, or a pet store...
You need things that fit into your school schedule and yet allow for your age so they don't expect an experienced person to apply... |

Well, I would say babysitting but you said that that would be hard for you.
I am 13 and my parents and I made this chart with jobs on it and the amount of money that each job is worth. Not only does that help your parents get things done around the house, but you get money.
If you have some older neighbors you can offer to rake, shovel, trim bushes, or whatever odd jobs they may need.
You could also put an add in the paper for anyone that needs any odd jobs done (that would cost some money, but hopefully people will respond).
I really wish you well!
Love,

Hmm. Maybe you should stop being so pessimistic and refrain from overusing the word, "obtuse."
Not all New Yorkers are cynical and on edge. The ones who have children, also have babysitters. |

I started making my own jewelery and selling it. It's alot of fun and relaxing. You can make alot of really cute charm bracelets, necklaces, earrings, or eyeglass chains for the older women. You can find books on how to do it, along with all the beads, wire, and fasteners at places like Walmart, Micheal's, or Hobby Lobby. There's no end to the number of combinations you can do. Then you can sell them for like $12-$15 each like I do. You can sell to friends and family or through word of mouth. |

In England everyone who needs money at that age either gats a paper round or does odd jobs for friend, family or neighbours - the only way is hard graft. x |
