do a fundraiser. google fundraiser, and order a ,fundraising paket, and get some cash, and if you need something like warm clothes or food, talk to a guidance counsler at school they are a great help!

If you stick it out until you're 14, you can probably get a job (depending on the state). The hours are pretty limited, though, until you're older. Maybe offer to help your neighbors out with yardwork, gardening, etc. I hope this helps. Good luck. |

I'm so sorry you have to live with this situation, first of all. Second of all, yes, there are charities that can help you. Research them, ask your teachers at school about them, I can't really help cuz I tried looking stuff up but nothing helped. Ask an adult about it.
At 13, you can't really get a job. You could try babsitting, petsitting, even borrowing money from family.

My uncle said to me when I was younger to go into a old shop (like a mechanic's shop or gas station) and talk to the owner about coming in once a week and emptying trash cans, cleaning windows, dusting, and washing counter tops for only $20 a week. Do something like that. And then...the boring... you could do yard work.
Don't listen to the people who say "Sell drugs" or "Stop feeling sorry for yourself". They are Jerks and are very rude. It is inappropriate to say that. We make $1000 a week and we still don't have enough.

Okay, I don't know if this will help much but you have to be at least 14 to get a job and mcdonalds or something. you can also check with your school. ask them for like internships or something. Ask your school(guidance office) for internships and see if you qualify.(remember to have good grades) |

Ignore the other people, i understand that getting a job may not be an option. When you cant drive and under 16 most people will not hire you. For Christmas, i think that it horrible that you wont be able to get any presents. My mother also suffers from depression so i understand what you are going through. There are many Christmas charities that supply presents for children who may not get anything else. They are different for each state or town though. There aren't any big charities that i know of for that. Just Google around and im sure you will find something in no time.

since you're on line, can't you play free game ?
google free games and see what comes up.
Go to the county welfare office and get some forms for your mom to apply for assistance.
Ask the fraternal orders in your town, Optimist club, Shriners, be on the lookout for free jackets, school supplies, food, that is traditionally given out by the fire dept or police dept. Better yet phone the business line, not 911, and ask the fire dept about this.

a lot of people is poor go to a technical school while attending to college so you could get an immediate job, you cant work till you are 16 at least. you are poor now but you could be rich in the future if you really want, your dad and your mom should provide for you |

Help people at the grocery stores with their bags, walk dogs, tutor younger kids, ask elders if you can do their lawns. I wish I could think of more you are so young.

well youre pretty lucky to have a laptop and you don't need gaming systems etc there are plenty of other ways to have fun! join loads of clubs at school - theyre free! then you could try babysitting? if you're old enough... or maybe dog walking? do you have an elderly neighbour who needs their dog walking? or someone who just doesn't have time to walk their dog? even if you just do it once or twice a week for someome? why don't you ask around? you could possibly see if any neighbours need their car washing too? don't let it get you down. make the most of the things you do have and work on trying to earn a bit of extra money here and there if you can. but also try and have fun! join those school clubs! you're only 13 and need to enjoy yourslef :) |

1600 is enough for you and your mom. Try $800 per month with 2 other siblings (whom are 11-16)and a 60 year old Mom. And other problems. You can't be in such a bad situation if you have a laptop, even if it Is poor.

Sell things at school.
School is a large place where alot of people go almost every day. Many of these people have money on them.
Whatever it is you decide to sell, keep it quiet. School authorities usually frown on this kind of thing.
If you don't have the money to purchase your goods, you need to get creative.
Make deals for profitable items you know you can move quickly. Either that, or be a middle man between someone who wants an item & one who's trying to sell it. This way you can jack the price up or "take a little of the top" when possible. |
