I'm looking for either a job close to my home, or I could work from home on a salary doing data entry or word processing, etc. I have over 20 years of office experience in many fields such as healthcare, finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits and real estate.
Any advice from anyone who works from home, how did you get started? I would be willing to take classes in medical transcription, etc if they are worth it. I need to earn at least $38,000 a year...

I am a single mom of 2 girls. My youngest is disabled so I work from home.
You can make money online doing a number of different things.
There are so many different ways, but you do have to know which programs are legit or you waste a lot of time. I put all the legit ones on my blogs to help others out. These are jobs I do that I have actually been paid from. You can check them out buy clicking on my profile.

When you are looking for info. on working from home, you should decide first if you are looking for a job, to work for someone else. Or if you are looking to a home business. I searched online for a home business 3 years ago and after doing some research on the company I am currently partnered with, I decide to try it. I love what I do and I know that I am not hurting anyone that I help. Just make sure you do some research and then follow your heart. |

Most of those "work from home" ads are scams or pyramid schemes. Some of them require you to buy their supplies before you want to start working for them. I would avoid them- if a person can really make that much money working from home then the majority of us would be doing it! Just remember if it's too good to be true, it probably is!
If you want to work from home, a temp agency might be your best bet. There are companies who will outsource to a temp agency when they need work done, and most of the time these companies are fine with or even prefer that employees telecommute. |

You can work from home as a transcriptionist and do general transcription to begin with whilst you are undertaking your medical transcription classes. I am a virtual assistant (independent contractor and work from home doing transcription). You can certainly earn the money you are looking at. You can also diversify and do accounts for small businesses, which would earn you a higher hourly rate for. Also a lot of virtual assistants specialize in real estate and become real estate assistants, all working out of their home office. You have a vast range of skills and can diversify or specialize in the areas that you like best. |

Actually yes! I work for a company called WorkAtHomeAgent as a customer service rep. Its totally legit and matter of fact Ive been working with them since last summer.
