You don't need to give one. You've quit. that's it.
Unless you are waiting for some sort of pay or bonus. |

Tell him the truth.
You owe that to him so when he replaces you he chooses the right person.
Remember he has paid your wages. |

Ask yourself why you resigned and be truthful, your new prospective employer will surely ring your last employer to check out your story.
I always do people are such liars in job interviews and most employers will want a reference from the last place you worked in any case.. |

If you don't want to make references to what you don't like about your job/company/employer, you can always be diplomatic and say you'd like to pursue other opportunities or personal interests. |

Howabout a clash of personalities? It's far more common than you would think. Another one is, you have had a better offer elsewhere that suits you career path. Good luck. |

Exploring other opportunities. Expanding your skill base. Acssuming a position with greater responsibility. Geographical/Logistical reasons.
Edit---- you are wise to part diplomatically, you never want to burn a bridge or create a bad impression, you may need to use this employer as a reference or find a connection to the employer down the road and you don't want any negative impressions holding you back ! |
