You're looking for low overhead and high profit.Go with a business you can run from a portable cart or kiosk in a shopping mall.Retailing Screenprinted T-shirts or Sterling Silver jewelry would be a great way to multiply your money.

You're off to a good start by asking an internet message board for advice.

I'm sure your money will be gone by lunchtime.

500,000 is not enough to start a business with. You need a business plan, a business idea - and a niche to fill that will make your business succeed.

Would you be ok losing all that money next week and not having anything left?

I'd recommend, if you honestly just won that money, to put it in an Roth IRA, Mutual Fund, and 401k - place them in saving accounts and literally max out every one of the above that you possibly can. Live off the interest if possible, but don't touch the main principle you start with.

until you get 15 or so years close to death.

then party hardy!

Try getting the advice of a certified financial planner.

If you won which I highly doubt you would not be asking for advice on here . Get a financial advisor and an attorney unless you are too cheap in which case you will blow all the money anyhow . Love to see the liars and the stories they have on here - cheap entertainment for sure .

I think with the limited amount of money you have, yet a lot, the best business to start would be of a clothing store or a restaurant.

You can never go wrong.

Happy Businessing!

If you had actually won $500,000, I doubt you would be wasting time asking questions on Yahoo.

Starting a business is a big investment. I would do tons of research first. In the meantime, put your winnings into a safe investment so that it can grow and then you have more to start with if you need it.

There are many read some business tips and articles on this site

anything that you think will keep you happy, and that you think you will get money in.

theres no use , asking people on here, as everyone will have diferent beliefs, and it comes down to what would work around your area.

You can start a business w/Pre-Paid Legal this month only for only $49.00. They provide training, marketing tools, websites, email accounts and much more. The company has been in business for 34 years and traded on the NY Stock Exchange under the S&P 500 (PPD). Please let me know if you are interested.

Thanx,

JON
