Don't make a decision until after your Freshman year at the very least.
Your new classes and the people you meet will open the door to several ideas and possibilities. |

I am in the same shoes you are in. I am currently a senior in high school and about to start college. I finally sat down and went through a book that my father ordered off of amazon.com for me that is called Occupational Outlook Handbook, which lists almost every career possible, their wages per year, the training you require, and a job description. I suggest you take a look into this. THe book doesn't cost very much if ordered used. Best Wishes! |

Good luck with that one. You want to not go to school for very long and be in charge? Go work at Checkers. I'm a college junior, and I haven't quit figured out what I'm going to do either. Most seniors are still panicking at graduation. Don't worry too much now. You haven't even started yet! You've got time, trust me. Take classes that interest you, and find a few internships that can lead you even further toward something you might like, and you'll eventually find something awesome. If you like surgeries, but you don't want to be in school too long, you might want to stick to watching ER or Grey's Anatomy! The years fly by- they really do- so don't stress too much and don't forget to have fun. Being a CEO multimillionaire can come later! K bye. Good luck. |

Don't worry about deciding right away just take some good classes that will contribute to most majors. Make sure to take Biology and work hard at it if you are interested in medicine. |

no one can tell you what you want to do for the rest of YOUR life, get a catalog and see what your options are most people changes their majors a good two or three times atleast. |

Go to College and put at least two years and obtain an associates.
Your future depends on your College completion and with a an Associates Degree you can at least get your foot in the door and work your way up in most any field.
You mentioned surgery...it's Medical School for that. Four-years Pre-Med and Four-years med and then two years residency.
Eight years of your life sweet pea if you want to be a Doctor, but always keep in mind you can never go wrong with any College Degree in this time of life and age.
Do what is best for you, but do it. |

It's ok to not know what you would like to before going to college. In fact, most students have no idea what they would like to major in. However, I think business management would be a nice field for you.

I just found out a couple days ago that most common major among university student is "Undecided". So don't worry. Start taking your generals and courses that sounds interesting to you and you should have an idea about what you want to do after your first or second year. |

Don't worry, a lot of people go into school undecided and eventually find out about their passion. How would you like being a nurse? |

Consider taking a career assestment test, this will help you identify your strengths, weaknesses, and the type career that will make you happy. You can also start taking the GER classes and have more time to think about what you want to do. Try taking a few classes in different fields and see if any appeal to you. I started taking Accounting classes because I thought that's what would make me happy. I wound up taking a Psychology class and discovered my true passion. Talk about a wake up call! |

you are not alone in this situation...use the college experience ..learn how to cope with pressure, economics with your parents money...learn how to deal with different kinds of people,...you are about to start college..presumably you should have a broad outlook..arts, sciences, etc/ |
