I would ask at first 'can you explain why you are an idiot'. then if he /she makes the same comment I would report it to my supervisor etc.
this IS harassment and is illegal. your employer has a duty of care to you in that it must take action when it employee's are being subjected to harassment by other employees.
make a note of all incidents and keep a dairy of when and what was said. note any witnesses and when you informed the company of the first incident and to who you reported it to. This becomes important if nothing is done and the problem persists. |

Look up the causes yourself, then next time he asks you calmly explain them and chuck in some statistics. He 'll have no where else to go with his insensitive, crass comment if you have actually explained it! Also ask him if he has a deep seated fear of going bald himself, and thats why he's so obsessed! |
