This is a normal response, especially in the adolescent female. Part of growing up is recognizing bad traits like this and dealing with them. From your question it looks like that you are trying to be mature. You should be proud of yourself.
This jealously is rooted in the conscious or unconscious fear that your friend will like that person better than you and that she might then not be your friend anymore. That would hurt alot so that fear presents to us as jealously.
Jealously isn't all bad. It pays a positive role in all of our psychosocial relationships. It helps to modify our behavior.
The trick is to realize and control this feeling which is exactly what you are asking!!!
I suppose that you could try to also make friends with this other girl, then you could all be friends. Also; you could understand that friends come in and out of our lives all the time. Somebody might be you best friend for a long time, but peole and circumstances arise that end up making someone ELSE our best friend. Years later that former friend might become our best friend again.
The thing is just to try and be nice an helpful even if you don't feel like it, even despite your jealously. |

No worries it is great that your friend has other friends i was just like you! dont try to be smart and do the same it will not work if they just want to talk quietly then find a few of your friends to talk to the more friends you have the better! i always try to include all my friends we try to go to the cinema and go shopping dont get jealous when your friend is chatting to someone else im sure they will always be your friend! if it is a prticular friend then you seem possibly to have an underlying problem which you need to combat. You friends is allowed to communicate with others. Also, look inwards, confidence to there to be built upon, if you relay on this person a lot then you become dependant and obsessice, you should give them space, accept their not there just for you.
