Nope, but you might be asked to work extra to make the time up, or to charge it against your vacation time, which may only be taken in 1/2 day increments.

Depends on what exactly you are getting at....
If you elft work because you don't feel well, then no.
If you leave work just to leave, probably not either.
If they already did deduct this then you need to find out why they did this. Chances are, if you are salary, you have worked many many times over your designated amount of hours. So it should not be a big deal, unless you left with a bunch of work not done and screwed them over, then maybe you should be. But even then, I don't think so. |

It shouldnt matter because usually salaried people work more than 40 hrs/week anyways. |

You can be paid salary and not be a manager. That's not the issue.
If you are constantly leaving early, than it should go against your vacation time, or you should make up the time. If it's a one-time thing and you tend to put in more than your 40 on occassion, than your boss should cut you some slack. To be honest though, it depends on your supervisor and their philosophy - salary, while it has it's benefits can be quite the two-edged sword. |

if your asking does it seem "right" then no, i thought was the good thing about salary if you left early still got paid, and likewise work over still get paid the same. if your asking will you i would say ask your boss or HR person/ |

your salary contract should state what hours are you required to work and what action is taken if you skip hours. |

You can only be paid a salary if you are a manager, If so no money can be deducted because you left early. That is the point of a a salary versus an hourly wage. You should call the labor board or your Human recources department. |

When you are salaried you should be paid a set amount for a particular time period ( so much per week, month, or year) no matter how many hours you work.
So 38hours pays the same amount as 40....or 42......or 100 |
